Job Title: Practice Manager
Reports To: President

Salary Range $35-$40 per hour
Employment Type: Part-Time (normally 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM)

Care on Location’s Practice Manager holds a critical role in the company. The person is a well-rounded jack-of-all-trades who understands what it takes to build a company and is committed to our vision of transforming healthcare.
Summary of responsibilities includes prioritizing and juggling multiple competing administrative projects, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of bookkeeping, regularly evaluating expenses and vendors to minimize costs, and managing employee engagement. Must have experience identifying challenges and implementing solutions, assessing the direction of the company, and proactively taking steps to smooth the path for the team and leading with honesty, integrity, and open-mindedness. This position will set the tone for collaboration and respect within the team.
Summary of Responsibilities:
Practice Management & Leadership
- Overarching staff leadership, including but not limited to managing work schedules, overseeing performance evaluations, compensation changes, and other employee-related oversight to ensure the success of both team members and the Practice as a whole
- Leads providers and staff to develop as a team for continuous growth and success
- Reviews all clinic financial and statistical data and helps ensure the Practice is staying on budget and identifies potential issues
- Illustrates understanding of practice management principles and ensures that trends are reported and addressed quickly
- Seeks opportunities to enhance revenue through new programs and services
- Oversees revenue cycle management(RCM) procedures between practice and RCM company and payers
Human Resources
- Responsible for the hiring and onboarding of new employees
- Ensures proper implementation and compliance of current operating policies and
- procedures and helps to create, implement and document new policies and procedures as needed
- Informs co-workers of changing policies, procedures and major decisions affecting them
- Produce workflows and other materials to document decisions and processes
Quality Initiatives
- Leads the compliance, development, and improvement of quality initiatives
- Responsible for managing patient satisfaction concerns and opportunities with staff and taking action to improve deficient areas
- Understands HIPAA and OSHA regulations and ensures all staff is in compliance
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree related to the healthcare field or related business management
- A Master’s degree in an appropriate field is preferred
- Minimum of 4 years of supervisory experience in clinic management or other healthcare management experience. Primary Care/Care Coordination experience preferred
- Highly organized and knowledgeable about office administration, project management, basic human resource best practices, and basic bookkeeping
- Strong knowledge of healthcare administration principles and computer literate
- Comfortable working autonomously and remotely with little required oversight
- Ability to exercise initiative, problem-solving, conflict management, decision-making, and ability to apply policies and principles to solve everyday problems and deal with a variety of situations
- Adapt, innovate, and lead in an environment that moves at a rapid pace, where change is common
